Blueberries are plentiful and cheap in California this time of year. I came in from the hot outside after working in the yard(temperatures were pushing mid-nineties) and wanted an easy to prepare cool light lunch. Wash two cups of blueberries, top with a heaping tablespoon of live cultured sour cream or yogurt. Sprinkle with fresh ground nutmeg or cinnamon. An amazing tasting sour cream is made by Wallaby with full fat cream and contains live active probiotic cultures. I prefer it to yogurt because the cream makes it so rich and satisfying. One tablespoon contains only 1 gram of carbohydrate, plus the probiotics are good for your tummy. This dish works for breakfast, lunch, or as dessert.
